I welcome the idea of a Communication on fertilizers, put forward by @jwojc. Yet, much more needs to be done. I propose a @europarl_en framework that would develop an EU strategy for food security, based on the good experience of @RenewEurope’s Task Force on Food Security.

🇷🇴 must become a part of the Schengen area. We have met the membership criteria over 10 years ago after joining the 🇪🇺 and demonstrated our solidarity with it. Delaying Schengen accession serves extremist and anti-European parties. Europe is stronger with Romania in the Schengen.

Putin’s annexation of the seized Ukrainian territories in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions breaches international law. Sham referenda are null and void. We must remain resolved and support 🇺🇦 in restoring its territorial integrity.

Both announcements of organising a sham referendum in the LPR and Putin’s introduction of partial mobilisation are were concerning signs of a possible further escalation.
As the united 🇪🇺 we must stay strong with 🇺🇦 and reinforce our support as long as it is needed.

Together with my fellow Romanian @PartidulReper colleagues I am pushing forward the access to internal markets and free roaming zone for both Ukraine and Moldova announced by @vonderleyen in the #SOTEU2022 speech. The European Union is not complete without Moldova and Ukraine.
