Our sanctions do not affect humanitarian support, food or medical assistance to the Syrian people. They target the Assad regime and its supporters.

The EU and its member states have been supporting the Syrian people for the past 12 years and we will continue to do so.

20 EU countries 🇦🇹🇧🇪🇧🇬🇭🇷🇨🇿🇨🇾🇪🇪🇫🇷🇬🇷🇩🇪🇭🇺🇮🇹🇲🇹🇳🇱🇵🇱🇵🇹🇷🇴🇸🇰🇸🇮🇪🇸 and 🇦🇱🇲🇪🇷🇸 have offered 29 search & rescue and 5 medical teams.

In total, 1485 rescuers & 100 search dogs 🐕‍🦺 have been mobilised to save lives.
