Efforts to continue improving the effectiveness of justice systems are underway in many EU Member States, but in some countries citizens do not have full trust in legal systems.

More must be done to increase access to justice & ensure independence of the judiciary across EU.

Today, we started legal actions against Poland as regards the new law creating a special committee to investigate Russian influence. This law raises #RuleofLaw concerns that it could be used to affect the possibility of individuals to run for public office, without fair trial.
