3/3 - On another front, the 🇪🇺 Freeze & Seize Task Force coordinates the enforcement of EU sanctions and also explores the interplay between sanctions and criminal law, notably whether any of the listed individuals have been involved in criminal activities, including #WarCrimes.
2/3 - Our mission is to collect as much evidence as we can to make sure that the voice of the victims is duly heard.
The 🇪🇺 is stepping in and has offered assistance to the Ukrainian authorities in their investigations. The Commission is coordinating this support at EU level ⤵️
1/3 - The ruthless attack on the #Kramatorsk train station is appalling and should be strongly condemned.
It is our duty protect all the people in Ukraine 🇺🇦 and make sure that those responsible for those crimes will all be brought to justice. ⤵️

Today, I chaired the fifth meeting of the EU’s Freeze and Seize Task Force together with 🇺🇸 & 🇺🇦representatives.
The full enforcement of EU sanctions is key to stop the financing of the Kremlin's war machine.
Almost €30 billion of assets have been frozen by the EU so far ⤵️
Excellent meeting with Oleksii Makeiev, 🇺🇦 Special Envoy for sanctions, to discuss the enforcement of EU sanctions and their coordination.
The Freeze and Seize Task Force has made progress and is ready to work hand in hand and share expertise with international partners.
