Today I had the opportunity to debrief Ministers on the discussions with the U.S. authorities on the deal for transatlantic data transfers. 🇪🇺🇺🇸
I trust that we will be able to finalise an agreement in the near future.
Je suis aussi ravi d’avoir pu échanger avec les Ministres sur la proposition visant à criminaliser la violation des mesures restrictives européennes.
Notre discussion a montré un très large soutien des États membres ouvrant ainsi la voie vers un accord au Conseil.
Nous avons aussi discuté de l’importance de continuer le travail sur e-evidence pour une coopération judiciaire plus rapide et efficace. Les enquêtes sur les crimes de guerre en 🇺🇦 sont un rappel de la nécessité de cet outil judiciaire. Merci à @EUROPE2022FR pour son engagement.

It was an honor to attend the first anniversary ceremony @EUProsecutor with Chief Prosecutor Kovesi & all the 🇪🇺 Justice Ministers. I would like to congratulate each European Prosecutor & the EPPO staff for the remarkable work over this year. Amazing results in such a short time.

I welcome the general approach on the Consumer Credit Directive. This agreement reached by @EUROPE2022FR in #COMPET Council is an important step.
This legislation will provide the necessary safeguards to protect vulnerable 🇪🇺 consumers against the risks of taking up credits.
Today, I took part in the #COMPET for the discussions on the initiative to empower consumers in the green transition & on the proposal for new rules on consumer credit.
The 🇪🇺 must step up its action to better protect consumers in the wake of the green and digital transitions.

Today, @EU_Commission together with CPC network sent another warning to @Whatsapp. We want to make sure that consumers are better informed about the company’s data policies & updates to the Terms of Service. We need to receive clearer and more transparent additional explanations.

I note that the @PolskiSenat amendments aim at improving the new PL justice law which will need to be fully compliant with EU law requirements for judicial independence. Let’s now wait for the final version of the law.
