Italy and Malta proposed the resolution to prevent the UN from exposing the unbearable truth of EU's complicity in gross violations of human rights. To continue their contributions to crimes and legitimate criminal Libyan authorities. EU states/Commission are partners in crime.

This week, HRC deals with the UN report on Libya, which urges to cease all support to Libyan actors involved in crimes against humanity against migrants. The resolution ignores this, and transfers monitoring from UN to Libyan authorities. Let the EU not get away with this shame!

Human rights? The Libyan case shows how much the EU cares. Libyan state entities (incl. LCG) are deeply involved in crimes against humanity and profit from them. EU continues to fund these entities and leaves further monitoring to the Libyan authorities. reliefweb.int/report/libya/det

RT @seawatch_intl: During this life-threatening interception by the Libyan patrol boat 644, an aircraft from the Armed Forces Malta was on-scene.
Despite the human rights abuses in Libya, people on the move continue to be intercepted and illegally returned with the support of the EU.

Polish judges, lawyers and civil society are desperately waiting for the EU to stand by their side and defend the Polish rule of law. I call upon @dreynders to take their side, and to not unblock the RFF-money over a law that will completely dismantle the judicial independence.

Read this report and realise how complicit EU is in the gravest crimes against humanity. The UN urges the EU to stop funding these crimes. We requested to invite Commission and UN to the LIBE committee to give account and finally care for human rights.

Yesterday, @EP_Justice voted on the Migration Pact. It includes some key achievements, with a human rights monitoring mechanism and mandatory relocation, but regrettably, deterioration on detention and existing safeguards. We will do our utmost to improve this in trilogue.

Dear @vonderleyen,

With 12 MEPs from @GreensEFA @TheProgressives @Left_EU @EPPGroup we take the liberty to respond to your letter to the Member States on migration, as we call for a radical shift, away from the current EU focus on externalisation.

Belangrijk: @EP_Justice stemde zojuist over vier onderdelen van het Migratiepact.

Ondanks problematische elementen zijn we blij met verplichte solidariteit als de migratiedruk toeneemt en mensenrechten-monitoring aan de grens.

Instead of legitimising Saied's xenophobic policies, we should put human rights at the core of our engagement with Tunisia.

Sending the economy Commissioner rather than @JosepBorrellF conveys completely the wrong message.

Could it be not the economy, but President Saied's xenophobic policies that make migrants desperate to find protection?

The EU's response? Send another Commissioner to enhance cooperation and prevent migrants to escape their perpatrators.

@dreynders says he doesn’t start an infringement procedure on the Polish Council for the Judiciary, which keeps on appointing fake judges, as it is under the Article 7 procedure since 2017. 6 years of deadlock. This is the best argument to start acting as Guardian of the Treaties
