@CoR_President @EU_CoR Full agreement! Against the findings of this study we have a reflect more profoundly about Cohesion Policy. In my eyes, we have to strengthen the direct payments to regions, businesses and citizens. Think of a genuine European Unemployment Benefits Scheme.

Important research by @valentin_lang, @niredeker & @DanBischof: Cohesion Funds help reduce inequality across regions but exacerbate inequality within regions. We need a reform of the EU Cohesion Policy! More direct (people-based) support such as an EU Unemployment Benefit Scheme.
