Fruitful and in-depth discussion with @manja_ulsi, 🇦🇱 Justice Minister.
#Albania has made good progress on its justice reforms, while more work is necessary to consolidate the capacity of the judicial system including through judicial training.
Good meeting with @albulenahaxhiu_, 🇽🇰 Justice Minister, on the margins of the Ministerial meeting. We exchanged on reforms to improve integrity in the judiciary, in line with European standards and @VeniceComm recommendations.
I was happy to meet with 🇦🇱 Prime Minister @ediramaal together with Commissioner @YlvaJohansson to discuss EU accession. 🇪🇺
We discussed justice reforms as well as the envisaged fiscal amnesty law and the risks posed by investor citizenship schemes.
Together with Ministers, I discussed about #RuleOfLaw and judicial reforms, as well as our joint action in response to the Russian war of aggression against #Ukraine 🇺🇦
I welcome the broad solidarity with Ukraine and its people.
It a pleasure to be in #Tirana for the EU-Western Balkans Ministerial Meeting on Justice. Thank you @EU2022_CZ & @manja_ulsi for this opportunity. It was an important exchange to strengthen our bonds with and in the region and jointly explore possibilities for closer cooperation.

Productive meeting with Secretary of State Angelika Schlunk, Ministry of Justice @bmj_bund on a series of topics: better and tangible communication on #RuleOfLaw, ensuring accountability in 🇺🇦, sustainability corporate due diligence, and stronger protection for 🇪🇺 consumers.
