Check out this electricity pylon by @Elering, a great example of 🇪🇪 infrastructure design enhancing the living space, the local identity & creativity.

We are at the Estonian-Latvian border, where the 330kV transmission line Tartu-Valmiera passes by.

This line was energised in May 2023. The upgrade will help reinforce the existing transmission network for secure synchronisation with the Continental #EU Network.

Now checking the internal line Balti-Tartu and tomorrow the interconnection Tartu-Valmiera on the Estonian side.

These contribute towards linking the #Baltic power networks more strongly into a single entity and also form a power highway to Continental Europe. ⚡️

We visited the synchronous condensers in Kiisa & Püssi, 2 of the 3 to be built in 🇪🇪 as part of the #BalticSynchronisation Project

They are needed to disconnect the #electricity grid from Russia and guarantee the synchronisation of the Baltics with the 🇪🇺 network
