Ask yourself this. Would the people who came as children on the Windrush be turned away at the polling station?

@PaulbernalUK Whatever the imagined problem was, the current system for checking ID couldn't possibly stop it (unless the problem was too many voters not voting Conservative). I could go in with my ID and then say I was you and they'd give me your vote, just as they would have in the past.

@PaulbernalUK The problems with postal voting are only being made worse now by this. People who could vote in person in private now being forced to do postal voting at home under the eye of their coercive partner, because they don't have access to their own ID document. 😕

RT @PaulbernalUK: So don’t be fooled, there are many people who won’t be able to vote as a result of this. And all to ‘solve’ a non-existent problem. 8/8

RT @PaulbernalUK: A short thread on the Voter ID requirements, as I see the old myths are spreading again. Firstly, just to be completely clear, there’s plenty of evidence that the kind of voter fraud that this aims to prevent is *so* rare as to be negligible. It basically doesn’t happen. 1/8

RT @natehiggins: Tomorrow thousands of voters will be turned away for failing to provide photo ID. Many will have not known to bring it, and then won’t come back. More won’t have it at at all.

This is serious voter suppression and the @TheGreenParty has opposed it every step of the way.

Minister said those trying to come to UK “tend to have completely different values to those in the UK”. What's different about values of war-torn Sudanese? Why won't PM create Sudanese Family Visa Scheme as for Ukrainians? He can't answer. Hard-right rhetoric continues

@BowledOut1 @crimlawuk @JohnBro26716300 If MPs get a huge pile of mail on some topic they do usually begin to take notice because they realise that the issue matters to their constituents enough to make them put pen to paper, and that is likely to mean that they matter enough to affect people's voting habits.
