In parallel to ramping up the deployment of rooftop solar panels and heat pumps, we need better communication to households.
As well as advice on energy usage, this should include information on funding schemes for home renovations.

Energy Efficiency as a policy choice is being underutilised.
In April, I called for Energy Conservation Guidance for businesses, industry and households so that they can prepare for the winter ahead and improve energy efficiency.

Particularly as an Irish MEP, discussing trade enforcement mechanisms with the UK is a difficult conversation, and I hope this Regulation does not need to used.
Nonetheless, the EU must ensure it has the tools in place to protect itself and the single market if needed.
