Errors in spending from the #EUbudget have increased.
In our annual report, published today, auditors show that although 🇪🇺’s accounts for the 2021 financial year are sound:

Today, Mrs @elzbietawitek, Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland 🇵🇱 (President of the lower chamber of the parliament), visited the European Court of Auditors.
🤝She was welcomed by Mr. @TonyMurphyECA, ECA President and Mr. Marek Opioła, ECA Member.
Today @helgabergerECA welcomed a delegation of the 🇦🇹 National Council’s EU Sub-Committee, led by @ReinholdLopatka.
After an introduction by the new ECA President @TonyMurphyECA, the delegation discussed the challenges of the #NextGenEU & what it means for the ECA’s audit work.

🗓️On 1 October 2022, Mr George Hyzler took up his duties as the ECA’s new Maltese Member. 🇲🇹
👉Mr Hyzler was appointed for the period from 1 October 2022 to 30 September 2028. He replaces Mr @LeoBrincat, the outgoing Maltese Member.
🗓️From 1 October 2022, @TonyMurphyECA takes up his duties as the new ECA President for a renewable three-year term.
He is taking over from Klaus-Heiner Lehne, who had presided over the institution since 2016.
