@fetzert @Federomei1 @XJaravel @a_m_elsner The indicative dates for signature of these grants are approaching, so we must act to be able to potentially offer funding to researchers put initially on reserve lists, and to have enough time to sign grants until the end of 2022, the legal deadline for this round funding.

@fetzert @Federomei1 @XJaravel @a_m_elsner The ERC explained in the past that successful applicants based in a country in the process of associating to Horizon Europe will be treated as based in associated country only if relevant Horizon Europe association agreement applies by the time of signature of grant agreement.

@fetzert @Federomei1 @XJaravel @a_m_elsner Indeed, the ERC has sent letters to successful UK-based applicants for Starting, Consolidator and Advanced Grants giving them 2 month to decide if they move to an eligible host institution or give up the grant. We'll be ready to extend this time in exceptional, justified cases.

ERC grantee Wolf Reik and @ReikLab team @BabrahamInst managed to turn back the clock 30 years on the skin cells of a 53-year-old woman. It's still early stages, but the eventual aim is to develop treatments for age-related diseases.
