On February 24, the world has changed dramatically.
The axis tilted with the brutal, unjustified and illegal invasion of Ukraine.

I am proud of Europe’s response. We have stood with Ukraine.

Because Ukraine needs hope. And Ukraine is fighting for Europe.

My lasting memory of Mikhail Gorbachev is watching him meet George HW Bush in stormy Malta to signal the end of the Cold War.

It inspired hope of a better, freer world. It meant walls torn down & led to Europe's reunification.

His legacy will be remembered.

54 years ago, Soviet troops & tanks rolled into Czechoslovakia, brutally crushing the democratic movement, pushing back against personal liberties & ensuring another lost generation.
