More than a year ago the 🇪🇺 started organising medical evacuations of Ukrainian patients to relieve the pressure on 🇺🇦's healthcare system.

Today we mark more than 2,000 transfers of Ukrainian patients to hospitals across Europe, coordinated by the #EUCivilProtectionMechanism.

Pedro Solbes, former Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, passed away on 18 March.

He played an important part in the negotiations for Spain's accession to the European Community.
