@EP_President A €1 billion macro-financial loan to Ukraine was disbursed at the beginning of August. The funding, in the form of long-term loans on favourable terms, will help cover external financing needs that have ballooned due to the war. The Parliament greenlighted the loan in July.

@EP_President In June the EU granted Ukraine candidate status, demonstrating unwavering commitment towards Ukraine. Granting candidate status opens the way to a complex process of screenings and negotiations. Before joining, a candidate must also meet a long list of accession criteria.
