In our meeting, we exchanged views on the state of play of reforms for EU accession related to the judiciary (e.g. Constitutional Court), conditions in penitentiary institutions, the fight against corruption or the importance of ratifying the Rome Statute to ensure accountability
In #Kyiv , I had a very good discussion with 🇺🇦 civil society representatives of the Ukrainian Nobel Peace Prize 2022 winner @ccl_ua, @UGSPL and @ANTAC_ua. It was insightful to get their take on ongoing and future key reforms.

A series of explosions in downtown #Kyiv this morning. Thanks to the quick reaction of the security staff, my team and I were rapidly transferred to the hotel shelter. We are safe and waiting for updates. #UkraineRussianWar
I reaffirmed to @AndriyKostinUa that the 🇪🇺 will continue to provide all the necessary support to hold the Russian war criminals accountable for #WarCrimes.
