One year ago today, the @EU_Commission published the #GlobalGateway Strategy for the #IndoPacific . Until 2027, a total of 300 billion Euros have been mobilised for this programme.

The rationale behind this initiative is clear: the world needs major #infrastructure investments and the EU will support third countries build sustainable infrastructure, establish secure supply chains and grow economically.

Until last year, EU action in this field was fragmented, undertaken both at EU and national level. The Global Gateway Initiative reduces this fragmentation and increases the coherence of the EU’s external action.
