So they managed via tons of phone calls &amp; meetings to push legislators to
1️⃣ reduce the data in scope,
2️⃣ define vague economic and
3️⃣ security exceptions

Once this part gets active, you will be able to more easily switch cloud infrastructure services (IaaS)

After some back &amp; forth we managed to set some requirements for data spaces and for digital contracts for data sharing (eg smart contracts for that purpose). It’s nerdy, but necessary. /7

Finally, the law will come into force 2️⃣0️⃣ months after it has officially been adopted in fall.
1️⃣ year later, manufacturer obligations will activate.
5️⃣ years after entry into force 🔨, all currently running contracts have to be changed too /8
