Low wages. He doesn't understand low wages. He doesn't understand what's wrong with his economy because he's in a party that takes from the poor to deliver for the rich. And then decides to *force* the poor to work longer hours to solve it.
RT @BBCRosAtkins: In our Panorama on the UK economy, we heard from a woman in Cornwall called Nicky - who couldn't afford to replace a broken lightbulb until the next pay day. @jonkay01 asked the Prime Minister about Nicky's si…

RT @FranchesHarper: @PaulbernalUK How many top 1% earners paying their fair share does it take to change a lightbulb?🤔

RT @VixL: OFSTED should not only pause and review their practices after the tragedy of the death of headteacher Ruth Perry, but they should be scrapped.

💚@TheGreenParty Education Policy is to abolish OFSTED💚

We applaud the courage of @FloraSCooper who is refusing entry to OFSTED today.

I hope the Parliamentary Privileges Committee understands the responsibility it carries today.
Public money spent on a defence dossier is already clearly undermining the process.
And no, prime ministers removed in disgrace should not have an honours list on departure.

If Johnson gets his way and is exonerated, we have a serious problem in this country. The Parliamentary Privileges Committee and the Tory government will lose all credibility, and lying in Parliament at a time of national crisis will be seen to be normal. Democracy ruined.

Nothing made of plastic or with batteries should be disposable. This needs to be stopped along with all the rest of our disgusting habit of discarding waste all over the world. And please don't start sending people to the moon as well.
RT @CPRENorthumber1: Local litter pickers are concerned about the increasing numbers of discarded disposable vapes. Containing a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, they’re unfortunately designed to be discarded once the liquid runs o…

@LordRennard @Peston @nboulton1 @RishiSunak Maybe take another look at the now forgotten May backstop for all UK with dynamic SM rules UK-EU alignment?

Well well. Wreckers will wreck.
RT @Peston: DUP will vote unanimously on Weds against PM’s reworking of the NI Protocol. Big disappointment to ⁦@RishiSunak⁩. No chance of NI executive taking office any time soon. Constitutional mess in Northern Ireland

RT @BrentToderian: Remember this picture every single time you hear someone in your city say "we're not Amsterdam."

This was in the 1970s, via @fietsprofessor.

The cities we admire made better choices regarding cars, and are still making them today.

Better choices instead of excuses.

No you can't solve the climate disaster with clean energy and technology. The most important things are trees, seeweed and soil, for sequestering carbon. There are good old fashioned ways to save and multiply those things.
Nothing will solve it without prioritising those.

He actually admits that most of the victims come that way. So how can denying them assistance help stop it? The lack of any recourse to help makes it easier for traffickers to continue to bring in slaves with impunity. If you blame the victims you don't stop the perpetrators.
RT @Haggis_UK: Jess Phillips - How will we help a woman, brought here illegally, from being repeatedly raped if she is denied access to our modern slavery system?

The climate disaster first on BBC news this lunch time, where it should be every day. Getting off fossil fuels by 2030 is essential but not enough. Stark. Who's is actually addressing that properly?

And the "not enough" means stop cutting down rain forest:
stop palm oil too.

For everything that the Tories touch, ideology gets in the way and blocks the obvious way you could solve it. It's true for poverty, for the shortage of workers, for the refugees, for the climate and biodiversity loss. And it's true for the huge damage done by drug abuse.

Political wariness towards evidence supporting decriminalisation and drug harm reduction is lethal and utte…

@rbarwanda @SuellaBraverman @Dr_ENsabimana It's not a foundation stone and it's clearly a pretend wall that won't actually be part of anything. All a sham designed to make us think it's going to be lovely for the inmates.
Reminds me of something.
