@CraigHowat1 @worrywort Assuming the billionaires are in the average when you say "average", many ordinary people (mainly public sector workers) are presumably going to be a lot worse than 7% less well off.

RT @carneross: Zelensky's 10-point peace proposals are well worth a read. He cleverly takes the framing well beyond the usual territorial arguments, which is only one of his points, instead introducing ideas like energy security and ecocide. - t.co/8GXR9IFytm

RT @EmilyLincOBrien: Govt policy on proposed new nature-friendly farm payments (ELMs) is in utter shambles, with further delays, secrecy and confusion.

This is a betrayal of nature, a betrayal of food security and most of all a betrayal of our farmers who above all need certainty, right now.

RT @CraigHowat1: @worrywort @catherinerowett Two years from now, the average person will be 7% poorer. And on the current trajectory, Britain's billionaires will be over £100bn richer. So the budget was a no brainer

all bound up with the ghastly dark side of (which is anything but altruism).

If you didn't already suspect that billionaires like Musk are the virus on the planet, let's see if this helps.
RT @mjnblack: 🧵 (1/5) A few months ago I got a tip: A source told me that Elon Musk had "more children" than the public realized. So I did some reporting, and... it was true! He'd had twins with one of his employ…

RT @cambsforeurope: @CarolineLucas @BestForBritain @euromove And in reply all Hunt could do was fall back on the usual vacuous nonsense about "opportunities".

In time "Brexit opportunities" will rank with "efficiency savings" as the marker of a politician who has run out of ideas.

RT @CarolineLucas: Huge elephant in the room is . Hunt didn't once mention how it's contributed to 4% productivity drop, 15% trade drop, 6% food price increase, lower wages, workforce shortages & highest inflation in G7. Why won't Govt call it out?

RT @RickyDHale: Why is it okay for the rich to flee the country if we threaten to tax them, but it's not okay for the poor to down their tools if they're not paid enough to eat? Why is tax flight considered perfectly reasonable, but strike action a terrible sin?

Of course foreign children don't have passports.

@AdrianRamsay And this "create jobs" rhetoric is completely bogus. For a starter, these schemes import the labour for the construction, bringing in the skilled workers who built the previous model in another country; and secondly, jobs are not what we need right now. We need workers.
