@Ghost_1824 @AaronBastani @Sanders4Health @GreenPartyTU There's a lot of work done by Green Party trade union group @GreenPartyTU and obviously we come out on the picket lines and on the media when we can, and elected Greens across the country press for proper workers' rights and pay in local government decisions and policies.

@Ghost_1824 @AaronBastani @Sanders4Health @GreenPartyTU Indeed I was calling for that in January ?t=Mrvg9lvDD3SUErJ1ka8YVg&s=19
RT @catherinerowett: Work needs to be rewarded with wages. It's kind of simple. If the government thinks it should take more of your wages, and a higher proportion from the lower paid than the higher paid, when food and heat is becoming unaffordable, we need a general strike.

@Ghost_1824 @AaronBastani @Sanders4Health @GreenPartyTU I'm very much in favour of a general strike, as well as supportive of the individual unions struggling to get decent recognition of the scale of the pay cuts that are being offered.

@Ghost_1824 @AaronBastani @Sanders4Health @GreenPartyTU Here's what I said earlier this month: ?t=Mrvg9lvDD3SUErJ1ka8YVg&s=19
RT @catherinerowett: We still need a general strike to bring them down and tell them "not like that" and "no we do not want more Tory Britain" and "no we are not going anywhere while you make tax cuts and pay cuts."

@Quilter_dean @GreenPartyMolly @euromove Record vacancies is the reason why nothing works, you can't get seen in A&E and flights are cancelled. Record inflation and low wages means it's irrelevant whether you've got a job because you can't afford to eat or heat your home (if you have one) either way. Absolute shambles.

RT @GreenPartyMolly: All the Tory leadership candidates are trying to cover up the economic damage that Brexit is doing

But the British people are not fooled

As project fear turns into Brexit reality, here are six questions our next prime minister needs to answer

The one occasion on which the world did collaborate to address an environmental emergency. We need to do so again. For CO2 and methane.
RT @NoirMJ: It closed up, as predicted, because the entire world stopped using CFCs in sprays and refrigerators etc by 1995. The scientists that worked on it were awarded the Nobel prize in Chemistry. I hope this helps, Malcolm.

RT @The_AEF: Grant Shapps says we can pollute the skies "guilt free" because in future we’ll have the tech for 0 carbon flights.

Isn't that like saying there's no need to stop sewage going into our rivers because Govt has a strategy to clean the waterways by 2050?

He's right. Nothing works in this country. But it's his party in government. Do something about it maybe?
RT @HuffPostUKPol: Former cabinet minister says his party is failing to deliver "core functions" including providing people with passports. huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/mic

RT @JeremyVineOn5: "A lot of solutions to climate change impacts are actually good for the cost of living"

@GreenJennyJones says the Government can reduce climate change AND the cost of living at the same time.

She says the current plan for net zero is inadequate.

RT @GreenPartyMolly: 💷 Real wages plunge by 3.7% over three months

📉 Greatest fall in more than 20 years

💪🏽 Government can and should ensure public-sector pay matches rate of inflation

👍🏿 And tax the wealthy to fund this

RT @IanDunt: Tugendhat had a poor showing yesterday, but he was the only one with the bravery to stand up to Johnson and the intellectual ability to put forward a different kind of Conservatism. They're mad to have gotten rid of him.

@Stayathomemum6 Do you believe in the existence of your friends? What evidence do you check for before deciding to treat them as real?
Would pinching them do? But the squawk you hear might be a mental event?
You don't bother to check for reality first before kissing? How irrational!

RT @RhonddaBryant: This is a untrue and her memory is very faulty. The minimum wage didn’t exist when she was 16 and she wouldn’t have been paying tax on the amounts that were then standard pay. It was @UKLabour that introduced the minimum wage.

RT @catherinerowett: Today England is hot because Europe is hot and the weather is coming up across a very hot continent. Europe is hot because Africa is hot and the weather is coming up from a very hot continent. This is deadly for everyone.
It's no good saying "we did our bit".

RT @Andrew9Boswell: Fantastic news! High Court finds that UK Net Zero Strategy unlawful. Basically it doesn't add up - policies have not been proved to deliver UK carbon budgets

Big implications eg for road schemes where emission reductions in planning depend upon the NZS working
@TransportActio2

@Christo07454203 It's when the government, and prospective Prime Ministers, sit back congratulate themselves for having, in their imagination, done what's needed that we have to protest. We need to change to a government that has a sense of its own power, and obligation, to achieve better.

RT @GeorgeMonbiot: I want every green NGO to carve this into their walls:

The only meaningful change is system change.
