@BylinesEast Note that the bars needn't be wrapped at all. We definitely need to stop using plastic, but it won't solve the climate emergency. It'll help solve the plastic waste crisis. That's crucial too, but don't imagine you've done your bit if you buy soap in cardboard.

@MichaelBerry12 Yes, our parliament (and hence we) had more say in the decisions when we were in the EU. They had to be passed by every member state parliament and some regional parliaments too.

It's no good saying we're doing OK. We're not doing OK as long as Africa is getting too hot. You know what? We need to collaborate globally on reaching drastic reductions to net negative across the 🌏. E.g. work with & through the EU, and prioritise climate in trade agreements.

It's no good saying "we did our bit". We offshored our emissions so it looked as if we'd cut our carbon and methane and dirty fuels. We decided not to count shipping or aviation, which is increasing. We didn't count the imported wood for Drax because we called it carbon neutral.

In hot weather, sweating to keep cool is natural and good. Remember that sweating requires salts as well as water. Olives and some salty ewe's cheese makes a good hot weather choice 😊
