Dear Truss the world is telling you it's not the right plan. Everyone here is telling you. What is the matter with your brain today? Why didn't you ask the experts before you did it?
RT @peterwalker99: Truss: "This is the right plan that we have set out."

OK, she's not shifting stance. Yet.

RT @peterwalker99: Truss appears to have set out on her broadcast round deciding to pretend it's her energy help which is controversial, not her nearly bankrupting pension funds and sparking a housing crisis.

Sorry but you could have increased tax on the wealthy and had a windfall tax on fossil fuels and given an small allowance of energy to families (the renewables dividend) and raised wages and benefits. You could have understood that redistribution improves the economy.
RT @peterwalker99: Truss is effectively arguing: we had no choice but to act because of Putin. Well, yes over fuel, but it's nothing to do with tax cuts f…

RT @peterwalker99: On BBC Norfolk, Truss is, again, answering a question she has not been asked.

RT @MartinRemains: @SamCoatesSky Please point out that government’s statements are not true. Please say that they are so obviously untrue that one must conclude that government is lying.

RT @KevinASchofield: Liz Truss says the “maximum” people will pay for energy under the government’s new cap is £2,500, which is just not true.

RT @theipaper: The independent Office for Budget Responsibility “stood ready” to offer detailed growth forecasts and scrutiny of Kwasi Kwarteng’s mini-Budget despite claims by the Government that the organisation was not able to.

RT @LBC: "Stop treating my listeners as fools!"

@NickFerrariLBC blasts Chief Secretary to the Treasury Chris Philp for claiming the financial crisis triggered by the mini-budget is because of the Ukraine War.

@GarethJoice @lelcampbell7 @nadinebh_ Yes "grudgingly" was an understatement. If he could have added all the taxes to low paid workers and exempted fossil fuels and wealthy people he'd have done so. Kamikaze chancellor has more or less done that.

RT @ITVBorderRB: First Minister: 'I don't think we've had a more serious economic situation, possibly even including 2008, which was a global financial crash'.

@NicolaSturgeon says the has plunged the UK into a 'rapidly deteriorating economic and financial crisis'

RT @bazz_87: Had the BoE not stepped in today, millions of people would have lost their pensions. The situation couldn’t be more serious. Yet, and are AWOL. They did this, why are they not being held accountable?!

RT @euromove: Hilary Benn, speaking at the European Movement fringe yesterday, had some comments to make about the Australia trade deal.

RT @RichardJMurphy: I note right wingers are now describing the IMF as a left wing, ‘woke’ organisation. And these are the sorts of people we now have in government

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@yrieithydd Well at least you got one. Possibly you'd be able to buy one for a fiver, next week. On the other hand the five pound note will be worth £1, and you'll need it to buy milk. Also you're paying your mortgage in ££, so it's very cheap (if you earn in dollars). Oh, ah, well anyway...

RT @martin_farley: @catherinerowett Time to
- end BTL mortgages
- ramp up tax on property speculators
- provide gov't backed mortgages to FTBs
- acquire properties for social rent
Throw in some insulation retrofitting, and we are approaching an effective housing market

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

No mortgages, repossessions, negative equity: so property speculators can buy up cheap property, families can't afford a home, and anyone who needs to move is stuck selling for less than they paid. And you bet Tories will cut homelessness support and sell off the social housing.

RT @DonnachadhMc: Remember as mortgage & inflation soars due to Tory tax cuts 4 rich, who put Truss in power because she promised Mail to do so...

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

RT @VoteAndyBrown: Inflation is at 10% so public services are already all facing huge real terms cuts BEFORE this crazy far right cabal lays into them even further.
