The Health Select Committee stated 10 years ago that the system was not fit for purpose, but the Government has not been willing to do anything to sort out the problems for patients in severe pain.

The Danish MPs tried to construct the question on the ballot paper so it didn’t mention the EU nor the 30 year old exemptions. They also rushed the vote, so people could vote by post before the actual question was decided. This is not democracy. Stem NEJ
