Today was a very emotional day.

A group of UK citizens brought this beautiful star of unity and peace to the EP.

With the message:

This is our star. Keep it safe for us.

They want to stay part of the debate on the future of the EU.

We are happy to support that.

Moldova has done a tremendous job receiving refugees.

But the challenge is still big:

The number children fleeing from war in Ukraine to Moldova amounts to around 10% of all children living in the country.

This morning, we met with @sandumaiamd to discuss what the EU can do.

Today, I am presenting my report on the Rule of Law assessment of the European Commission in plenary.

It is an important tool to tackle the rule of law crisis in the EU.

But it urgently needs more teeth.

We will fight for a strong majority across political groups.
