@JohnRussell40 @SueHayman1 @Ed_Miliband @Keir_Starmer @James_BG Yes it is. You take rock and melt it at 1,500 degrees Celsius by burning a fossil fuel. It therefore has a very high level of embodied energy. It’s ‘based’ on burning fossil fuels.

Insulating properly 19million homes is the correct strategy but we must use nature based materials such as wood fibre, hemp etc to do so, not fossil fuel based materials like rock wool which currently dominate the market @SueHayman1 @Ed_Miliband @Keir_Starmer @James_BG
