RT by @PaulBrannenNE: Thank you @vonderleyen, @SwedishPM and @PetteriOrpo for visiting our Sickla Innovation Centre today. It was a privilege to discuss sustainably managed forests with you and showcase some of our renewable solutions, key to supporting climate goals and the green transition.

Agree that a proper meal on a long train journey is a pleasure. Alas
nitter.cz/LNER
no longer provide this service but when they did it was a major plus for those of us who regularly use the east coast mainline. And sharing a meal with a stranger can often be an illuminating experience.

The darker the world the more relevant is Orwell. “If liberty means anything at all it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear”.

If you know anyone aged 17-50 years old please make sure they are registered to vote. Over 50s are regular voters, younger voters much less so.

Fascinating to be in a ‘wood library’. Each of these is piece of wood not a book. Located at the

RT by @PaulBrannenNE: On the government’s claims that climate change committee data shows 25% of our energy will come from fossil fuels in 2050 (CCC denies this) - they again have refused to share their methodology. The figure is cited by UK gas industry. Has govt taken figure without checking it?

RT by @PaulBrannenNE: I've learned so much from @JulieElliottMP as we've worked together for over a decade: especially about how politics can really serve a community, and about how to campaign to win. I'm so honoured to have her endorsement.

🏢 A beautiful old Soho office building needed a refurb. Mass timber was the perfect material to provide an extra floor at the same time.

OS Map challenge. Can anyone shower a larger map area containing fewer trees than this anywhere else in England? Note: King’s Forest of Geltsdale, Bruthwaite Forest & Knarsdale Forest all have no trees. England isn’t serious about tackling climate change. Trees sequester carbon.

Can anyone send me a web link to the National Annual Increment harvested in the UK (Scotland, England, NI & Wales combined) can't find myself. Ideally 2010, 2015 & 2020 figures. Need to combine with EU27 in a table.

Great video - well worth watching - from David who is hoping to be selected as Labour's general election candidate for the constituency of North Northumberland (formerly Berwick). He's even got a shot of the street in Alnwick where I lived when I was the candidate in 1997!
