@BurchertMichael The concrete industry are on the wrong side of history. More and more people can see that concrete is a climate nightmare. The weird thing is that nobody is saying 'Ban concrete'. What people are saying, & the science supports this, is 'Use less cement'.

RT @KateRaworth: While France is banning short-haul flights, the UK government is now promoting them, under the slogan 'Grow the Economy'
More like 'Kill the Living World'.
Policies like this, in times like these, will be recorded in the history books as ecocide.

RT @David_K_Clark: Can Wimbledon please explain what “neutral” means in the context of a genocidal war of destruction? Neutrality between good and evil is always siding with evil in practice.

@CEMEX With concrete responsible for at least 7% of global carbon emissions you’ve a long way to go.

@AJPendleton @jonburkeUK Looking back at your tweets over the last three years I think I detect a higher standard in the first half of the week than in the second. Does this answer your question?

Now that's exactly what I thought when I visited the Tree House in Norway. I presumed those flats that had a structural beam within the living space (most didn't) would be cheaper to buy. I was wrong. This flat, as pictured, commanded a premium price because of the exposed beam!

@adambedders All the best for what comes next. I hope it's a role where we can continue to work together. Is fifteen years long enough to get an NFU clock?

@WTBridget @WoodlandTrust @onthewight What percentage are conifers? I’d expect the majority, even as much as 80% to be native deciduous but as we are in a climate crisis we need to remove carbon from the atmosphere as fast as possible hence we need conifers in the mix. PS I’m a life member of the Woodland Trust.

RT @kilmaha: I did. It was good to hear timber production, tree planting for timber production, and the challenges of timber nimbyism given time on @BBCr4today

We still need to actually do it though....

RT @Agroforestry: 🌾🌳🐄
Agroforestry could be the key to sustainable farming in the NL and 🇪🇺!

This innovative farming method combines trees with crops and/or livestock, providing a range of benefits such as improved , , and economic stability.

RT @AJPendleton: The opposition to the expansion of a successful, world-leading and life-enhancing clean air and climate ultra low emissions zone in London by some councils who promised to act on climate and filthy air quality is appalling, @lorddeben is right

@RNorthumberland What will the primary building material be? If it’s the traditional concrete & steel it will have a high level of embodied carbon which is bad news given we are in the midst of a climate emergency.
