Good luck to .@WestHam youth in tonight’s FA Youth Cup Final. My dad’s old friend, the late John Charles, was captain when we won in 1962-63. A true pioneer of the game, sadly now often ignored, but never forgotten. His son .@18days keeps his memory alive.

A interesting & scarce Ashantee Medal from the 1873-74 campaign (Third Ashanti War), awarded to Pte. Asumo of Glover’s Hausa Force. One of the many freed slaves recruited by Sir John Glover, who enlisted into the nucleus of what later became the West African Frontier Force.
