I well remember Martine chairing two European Parliament sponsored debates that I took part in, back in the days, during my term of office as a UKIP MEP. She was always evenhanded, neutral & overwhelming respectful of everyone’s point of view.

Back from a lovely walk around the Severn & through my beautiful home city of #Worcester. I always stop & marvel at our Boer War Memorial outside @WorcCathedral. The quality of the casting really is something to behold. Easy to miss, but worth taking the time to stop & admire.

It’s #TrafalgarDay & #BlackHistoryMonth, so here’s a plaque on Nelson’s Column depicting one of our Black sailors who fought at Trafalgar. The Black naval pensioner in this 1854 photo is Richard Baker, who served in HMS Leviathan. We should teach kids this side of our history.

Having handled these, I have to say that they are both truly beautiful and magnificent pieces of craftsmanship. The quality and aesthetics are to behold. As is the miniature version of the Star.

The shenanigans at Westminster precisely underlines why I support a constitutional monarch as our head of state - Politically neutral, a President would, most likely, be either Conservative or Labour, & no doubt dragged into all this nonsense. The Crown is our constant stability.

Look out for cyclists and motorbikes - It’s not just a matter of keeping your eyes open whilst you’re driving, it’s equally important after you’ve parked up. Simple stuff, I know, but it could well save a life. Scary video alert.

Hearing that the Home Secretary has resigned. If true, then the debacle couldn’t get any more bizarre. Time for the PM to request an audience with the King. We need a general election to end this circus. It’s a national humiliation.
