Last weekend, #Frontex plane succeeded to locate an overcrowded fishing boat near the coast of Sicily. The boat carried nearly 600 people.
The passengers were rescued by vessels sent by the 🇮🇹 Coast Guard and Guardia di Finanza and made it safely to shore.
Document fraud enables various types of cross-border crime, from human trafficking to weapon smuggling.
This week, Frontex and @NAUSS_SA_EN gathered 11 Arab countries, with EU countries and int’l organisations for a workshop on the fight against this crime.
