The new package of laws will close a plethora of loopholes which exist and benefit money launderers by making it harder to identify the real owners of high value items & land. This includes the ownership of high value assets and how these assets were purchased.

The package of laws will also set up a new EU-wide Anti-Money Laundering Agency for the first time to oversee and coordinate the work of Member States in this area.

I support the governments intention to declare its interest in hosting the new EU ‘AMLA’ in Ireland 🇮🇪 🇪🇺
