Today in @EP_Economics I voted in favour of proposed new EU laws to step up the fight against money laundering and terrorism financing in Europe, in particular by Russian oligarchs connected to the war in Ukraine.

The new package of laws will close a plethora of loopholes which exist and benefit money launderers by making it harder to identify the real owners of high value items & land. This includes the ownership of high value assets and how these assets were purchased.
