Today also marks the 1-year anniversary since @EU_Commission brought forward its proposal for a Directive on combatting violence against women.
As lead negotiator for this new EU law it is my aim to have an agreed position as soon as possible.
Europe cannot wait!

-Combatting #VAW
-Advancing work-life balance
-Sharing the care burden
-Promoting women in STEM
-Closing the gender pay gap
On this #IWD2023 we also think of the women of Ukraine, Iran and Afghanistan amongst others who face the most difficult circumstances.

Everyday in the @europarl_en and in Dublin I work to advance gender equality with the support of the most remarkable people.
In Ireland and in Europe we have achieved so much for women in recent years but there is much unfinished business.
