Women can be in fatal danger in their own homes.
This year we mark #16DaysOfActivism against gender-based violence with 16 key statistics, which show that violence against women is still happening far too often.

Projects like these are vital for combatting violence against women on-the-ground.

We expect the IT companies who did not perform as well in 2022 compared to 2021 to promptly address the reasons for the slowdown.
We urge the IT companies who did better to keep up the good work.

EU companies below either of these targets must set transparent, gender-neutral, merit-based criteria for appointing board members

Today the EU adopted rules to improve #GenderBalance on corporate boards.
By June 2026, large listed EU companies will need to have at least 40% of the underrepresented sex among non-executive directors.
