(1) No decision at the EU Agriculture&Fisheries Council concerning the prolongation of the import ban on #Ukrainian #grain is a bad news. There is nothing new under the sun: problems of the five MSs at the Eastern border of the EU are not conceived as European problems.

As agreed w//COM, HU has delivered on the reform of the judiciary. Therefore we conceive payment of EU funds should no longer be hindered. HU Govt. has just sent bills for the value of 238 mn EUR. It is high time for COM to keep its word and deliver. I am extremely curious.

The number of employed people has never been so high in #HUN than now. @StatsHungary ‘s latest data shows: 4 million 766 thousand people worked in June 2023, 51 thousand more than last year. Despite the economic challenges, #Govt does its best to protect #jobs & #families.

Re Including #wine and #spirits in the reuse and refill targets would be a mistake as it would put unbearable burden on the sector. Wine is much more than just a product. It is a true European asset.
