As a result of the govt’s constant policy, VAT gap declined from 22% to 5% in the past decade.  With one of the biggest economic whitening in the EU we could also manage to reduce tax burden as a share of GDP from 40% to 34%, while EU average is 42%.

I hope today's EU's Agriculture and Fisheries Council will find a good solution on food security linked to imports from #Ukraine. Now that #Russia suspended its participation in the Black Sea grain trade deal, the pressure is even bigger.

Re Brussels should ensure that #SolidarityLanes operate properly, i.e. grain gets to those countries that need them (Africa, Middle East) while keeping the safeguard measures for our #farmers at the MSs neighbouring with #Ukraine even after 15 September.
