A package of laws was submitted to HU Parliament today amending the legislation on cooperation with the #OLAF and on public interest trusts with a public service mission .
We will deliver. I hope the COM & the Council, too.
17/3 Yesterday, a long and trying negotiation process was successfully concluded between HU & COM .
COM has concluded that the 17 proposals by the HU govt address the concerns that led to the launching of the #conditionalitymechanism.
Recent comments made by HU & EU leftist politicians are crystal clearly proving that they hope for HU & COM not to reach an agreement on #RoLconditionality. Their aim is to withhold EU money from HU people until #ViktorOrban is removed. Nothing will ever be enough for them.
🇭🇺 @TNavracsicsEU after the COM decision today on the suspension of the EU funds for HU: "the intensive negotiations on the #conditionalitymechanism have come to an end, from now on no further demands can be made for Hungary”.
We will deliver. I hope the COM & the Council, too.

It is not only families but also #SMEs that will be the biggest victims of the misguided #sanctions policy.
The entrepreneurs will not submit the bill to Putin, as @vonderleyen asked yesterday, but to Brussels.
#energyprices are skyrocketing, risking many #SMEs to close.
❓No real, practical EU help on the ground for SMEs,
❌while the burden on them is increasing, w/h #duediligence, reporting&even investigative obligations. Not to mention the cost of green&digital transitions.
We mustn't allow the misguided #sanctions policy to crush #SMEs. Today at #EPplenary I welcomed @vonderleyen's announcement of a number of new measures to help SMEs in her #SOTEU speech.
But we should see the bottom line:
The left-wing voting machine from the EPP to the Communists in the EP has worked at the adoption of the HUnreport. They want to put #Hungary under protectorate, , neglecting the free will expressed by 🇭🇺people in the April/2022 elections.
Debate, cornerstone of our democracy, à la certain leftist MEP in today's #EPplenary: Do you take a question? No, I don't want to give speaking time to the "extremists".
So they are clearly not ready for any debate. #HUdebate
The left wing of the EP never initiated a debate about that. What is this if not double standards? Mr Aguilar was looking for the right words for a while in his answer.
My question to @JFLopezAguilar at #HUdebate: In 2021 the #Spanish Constitutional Court declared unconstitutional the state of alarm declared by @sanchezcastejon twice. The govt disregarded the constitution & bypassed the approval of the parliament.
#HUdebate Katalin Cseh and other MEPs from the left bring HU’s position on the war into the debate of the #RuleOfLaw. It clearly shows their motivations. It is not about values, treaties and norms, it is about putting HU under protectorate and ignore the free will of HU people.
Important blue card question by my fellow MEP, @trocsanyi: why do instances of politicization of justice by Western European countries go unnoticed in @EPInstitutional? It is a pity he was cut off by the chair.
@JPGarraud on the #HUdebate: endless accusations against Hungary, which is determined to remain faithful to real European values.
#HUdebate: rapporteur says HU women are considered to be internal enemies. Well, in @FideszEP delegation the percentage of women is 5/12. HU Parliament this year elected a female President of the republic. Needless to say, it is a very anti-woman political climate…
#SOTEU: Greens seemingly want to decide who has to win elections in 🇪🇺MSs like HU, PL, SE or IT. Could not you, @SkaKeller, let the people of these countries elect their leaders from their free will? More respect for #democracy, pls.
Especially, when you give #RuleOfLaw lessons.
