#SOTEU: Greens seemingly want to decide who has to win elections in 🇪🇺MSs like HU, PL, SE or IT. Could not you, @SkaKeller, let the people of these countries elect their leaders from their free will? More respect for #democracy, pls.
Especially, when you give #RuleOfLaw lessons.
@ManfredWeber is proud of UvDL for not giving the #EU funds to #Poland & #Hungary. So that is the biggest achievement of the COM in times of war and on the edge of an economic crisis with skyrocketing #inflation, when we would need unity more than ever. It is both poor and sad.
Hopefully these words do not remain only in the air, when many SMEs are considering shutting down beacause of the skyrocketing energy prices.
I could not agree more with @vonderleyen on #NGEU: we need to bring the money to the ground. Let’s see whether the promised #SME package will really make easier to do business in Europe, and will mean less red tape. #SOTEU
#SOTEU: The offer by @vonderleyen to UA to join the SM hopefully will be made also towards the countries of the #Balkans which have been in the queue for very long time.
4. Ideological motivations must be removed from the negotiations on the disbursement of EU funds, so that Hungarians🇭🇺 can finally have access to the resources that are rightfully theirs.
3. Remove ideology from the technical issues. The mindless indebtedness of future generations must be stopped. Instead of over-regulation & reckless increases in administrative burdens, we need to unburden companies, especially #SMEs.
2. #Energypolicy reform proposals must be judged on the basis of their contribution to security of supply, ability to reduce #energyprices for consumers & if they take account of the specificities of the MSs. The #gaspricecap proposal would undermine our security of supply.
1. We must stop the 🇪🇺 economy from going into a tailspin & not let RU's shameful aggression against UA to take us down. The figures show clearly: the misguided sanctions policy against RU is hurting us more than the aggressor itself. We need a change of direction here.
Great debate today at #EPplenary with @MarinSanna. In my speech I pointed out that 🇪🇺 would need more of the famous Scandinavian pragmatism & asked the PM to be a partner in building a strong 🇪🇺 that answers the pressing issues of citizens.
Our tasks are:
Csaba Kőrösi @UN_PGA took the oath of office as he takes over as President of the #UN General Assembly. It is a great success for Hungarian diplomacy and a clear recognition of our compromise with environmental sustainability & water policy.
I invited COM to conclude the negotiations in the same spirit. Establishing guarantees to ensure transparency & lawfulness in spending EU funds is a mutual interest. Leave, however, ideology & political pressure out.
MEPs from the left circled like vultures, trying to redistribute the money that rightfully belongs to #Hungary.
During today’s #RRF Dialogue, @VDombrovskis & @PaoloGentiloni did a good job and resisted pressure from the EP's left concerning the negotiations of the HU RRP. Both confirmed the constructive nature of the ongoing negotiations.
We need to invest in young people!
In Hungary🇭🇺, 367 thousand youngsters took advantage of #PITexemption for under-25s in the first seven months of the year, leaving HUF 79 billion in their pockets.
This is a huge achievement in an international environment of severe uncertainties & multiple crises. In Hungary, the economic policy based on job creation has been able to offset external shocks by building new manufacturing capacity.

HU domestic industrial production grows for the 3rd consecutive month, reaching another record level: overall industrial output is 7.6% above its pre-pandemic level in Jan 2020.
Tonight, in honour of #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth the #EP is lit up in gold to show solidarity w/h patients, parents & healthcare professionals, all, who is battling childhood cancer. To beat the illness, 1st we need to raise awareness to push it on the top of the agenda.
It would just paralyse businesses & create uncertainty. We cannot delegate governments’ responsibilities on comp,anies. We need dialogue with partner countries & not expect businesses to do that for us.
