We can only ensure high social standards if our economy is competitive.
This is why in #COFOE Conclusions we call for the introduction of a competitiveness check, an initiative supported by all - citizens, national governments & parliaments, @europarl_en & @EU_Commission. 2/4

➡️ Any future #EU legislation has to make sure it makes our economy stronger & more competitive. I hope that under #EU2023SE leadership, we can work together to see the competitiveness check established.

➡️ Unfortunately, we did not see the accession of Romania & Bulgaria to Schengen during @EU2022_CZ.
Let us now work together on this. Just as #Finland & #Sweden joining #NATO would make us all safer, Romania & Bulgaria in Schengen would also make us all safer. 4/4
