I did commit one error: I said 14,000 Ukrainian children had been kidnapped from Ukraine; the actual number is more than 16,200.
Also, hundreds of children (at least 488) have been killed by the Russian invaders; another war crime.

But the Russian Ambassador to Ecuador, in response to my column on the Russian invasion, said “As for the children, who were taken for strict humanitarian and security reasons, from the territories liberated from the neo-Nazis to other regions of Russia, they are all safe.”
