@europarl_en voted to grant discharge to @EU_Commission for its management of #EUBudget in 2021. But what is discharge, and why does it matter?
1⃣ Discharge is the procedure by which the Parliament exercises political control on the way the Commission has managed the #EUBudget.

➡️programmes from the previous long-term budget were still delivering
➡️the new long-term #EUBudget and the Recovery and Resilience Facility started
A 🔑 year for the EU finances.
That’s why the Parliament’s greenlight is most welcome.
But this is no blank cheque.
