Poland has restored the Polish name for the Russian-administered Kaliningrad to Królewiec.
Lithuania did this a while back. For us, it has always been Karaliaučius, the city of kings.

Poland has decreed that the Russian city of Kaliningrad should in Polish recover its historic designation of Królewiec.
Mikhail Kalinin, after whom the city was named, was chairman of the Supreme Soviet and a signatory of the execution order for the Katyń massacre.

In 2008, Ukraine did not receive NATO Membership Action Plan.
News about the downed Kinzhal shows that Ukraine has fulfilled MAP at the highest level. It shows that Ukraine is a de facto NATO member.
Now it's time for NATO members to speak up for Ukraine's membership.

Unacceptable remarks of the Chinese Ambassador to France questioning the sovereignty of the countries which became independent with the end of the Soviet Union in 1991.
The EU can only suppose these declarations do not represent China’s official policy.
