There are no fewer than three opinion pieces in the Sunday Independent decrying the shutting down of public debate on immigration.
There are zero pieces calling for debate on immigration to be shut down.
There are zero pieces saying immigration is not the problem.

This is the Business Post but most of papers are the same.
The agitation of the far-right responsible for riots is disappeared.
Then it becomes a problem simply solved by more Gardai.
The real issues are the growth of the far-right and the alienation they are able to exploit.

Over 4 million euros of public money has been spent by the Irish government in the last five years on contracts with Israeli armaments company, Elbit.
Public money going to fuel the slaughter of Palestinians is a scandal.
We need sanctions now.

R to @paulmurphy_TD: Also slightly strange that those who claim not to be racist would have a problem with people who are against racism. 🤔

“It looks like they hate immigrants. Well I am an immigrant, and I did what I could to try and save that little girl."
Well done to this Deliveroo driver who intervened yesterday to stop the attack.

Last night's events were sickening after the horrifying attack on children.
Instead of rallying around families of those in hospital, far-right activists used this as an excuse to create a riot.
They destroyed our city and struck fear into the migrant workers who make it work.

R to @paulmurphy_TD: We have been warning about the spread of hatred and division for a long time.

On 18 February last year tens of thousands protested and pushed them back.

They didn't go away though and disgustingly saw yesterday as an opportunity.

We need to mobilise again to reject their hate.

Join us tonight at 6pm to protest

and demand they remove the Israeli stock from their shelves
In particular, some of the Lupilu baby products are made in Israel
More than 13,000 have been killed now by Israel, including over 6000 children - increasing hour-by-hour

Michéal Martin & the government are now finally acting to further erode our neutrality & rid themselves of the "political straitjacket" of the triple lock.
This follows a long effort to try and undermine Irish neutrality, and now they're trying to take it apart piece by piece

Michéal Martin is seriously rattled by the opposition to his agenda of the western imperial project of NATO.
The strategy has now changed to dismantling neutrality bit by bit!
Which military missions do they want to send Irish troops on that they can't currently?

It is horrendous to think about children being attacked and stabbed outside of their creche.
Fair play to the brave bystanders who intervened.
My thoughts are with the injured victims, hoping they make a full recovery.

Micheal Martin ridiculing the idea that there is any attempt to undermine military neutrality rings a little hollow when this is what he was saying in June last year.

Micheal Martin misled the Dáil in leaders questions suggesting that the UN Charter permits regional security organsiations to deploy peacekeeping missions.
That is only with the authorization of the Security Council.
What military missions does govt want to send troops on?
