@AndyBelfast @rjpark @chhcalling @europarl_en I've never denied I think NI (and the UK) would be better off in the EU. Emerging facts bear that analysis out. However, my priority is stability in NI: that means getting mutual agreement with UK/EU, securing our unique dual market access, and offering max business opportunity.

@AndyBelfast @rjpark @chhcalling @europarl_en And what we have now isn't a hard border: however, I voted against it because it is unweildy and bureaucratic. I think that can be addressed, but some checks/barriers will still exist. We need to minimise them.

But we need to be realistic about what the limitations are about that and know a good deal when we see one.

The danger is that some politicians are pursuing a deal that just doesn't exist.
