Tomato is one of the most produced crops worldwide. Sadly, around 25-42% of the yield is lost post-harvest due to premature softening & plant pathogens.

The #MSCA CallMechanics project worked on a new genome-editing approach to delay fruit softening & improve disease resistance.

The #MSCA #COFUND call 2022 closed yesterday with 107 proposals submitted of which:

🟨 51 for Postdoctoral Programmes
🟨 56 for Doctoral Programmes

Results will be announced in July 2023, between 25 to 30 projects will be funded with €95 million.

Our Fellow of the Week @lauracrucianel1 is a cognitive neuroscientist & experimental psychologist.

Her research focuses on interoception, the perception of temperature and touch, and multisensory integration, and how all these signals contribute to the sense of body ownership.
