My message: life next to a pariah state has a cost. We in NATO need to strengthen our defence and security and adapt accordingly – we must put forward defence in place in our planning, defence spending and capabilities. 1/

Peace and stability of Europe is secured by #NATO that is able to defend Europe militarily as well as by a geopolitical #EU.
We must end grey zones in Europe. It has become clear that for peace in Europe, we need #Ukraine both in the EU and NATO. 2/
