GHG emissions from EU agriculture slightly declined in 2013-2023, from 401.6 to 385.6 million t CO2 eq. (-3.9%). This was mainly driven by lower emissions from animal production (-4.7%) while the decrease in the plant-based sectors was 1.9%.
