Nice to see German car makers backing U.K. against the eu- in their own interests of course!

Exporting more than ever to the eu & now with new markets in Asia. So quite good thanks

Ministers and Whitehall have had seven years to prepare, what have they been doing?
RT @JulieMontoya20: @MaxWarnerQ @john4brexit The UK government are *not* scared to implement the necessary checks on EU goods. It's just that after more than a quarter of a century of not having to check goods from the EU, and all the changes that happened in that time, they now have neither the m² nor the staff to do so.

The protectionist eu is the antithesis of free trade
RT @tweetcmw: @vivamjm @john4brexit 'Seen from the outside one has the increasing impression that those who drove the people of the UK to vote for Brexit and who are now in charge of plotting the future do not even understand the first thing about what ‘free trade’ means'

There would be plenty of tariff free cars and components from elsewhere. It is clear the eu are keen on tariffs as a trade weapon.
RT @LiveFromBrexit: @john4brexit Great idea John! In a cost of living crisis, adding tariffs is the best way to drive prices of imports down.

One solution to all this is to go WTO and placed tariffs on eu goods
RT @Johnnywas25: @Rob_Kimbell You know that one of the main issues is rules of origin, and that most major trading partners have similar rules applying to goods. So what is happening here with Stellantis is likely to be repeated across our other markets.

RT @Rob_Kimbell: Amsterdam-headquartered multinational automotive company Stellantis (that includes Peugeot and Fiat) is attempting to pressurise the UK government into renegotiating our trading relationship with the EU. My first attempt at speaking on Retained EU Law Bill thwarted as I had raised a question previously, and that counted as speech. Those are the rules - except I have seen so many do the same and not been stopped. Like the EU, the Lords is a 'rules-based system'. Until it's not.

London is increasingly a Labour city, but more Labour has not meant a greater London.

Heat pumps are a failure. Net Zero madness is creating inflation and fuel poverty. The U.K. are fools as the rest of the world is ignoring Net Zero. Even if we were 100% green it would make only 1% difference. Crazy
RT @Snickknacks: @john4brexit They work great. What’s more, like solar panels, they are democratising energy supply. No longer will people be in thrall to giant energy companies.
